With reference to Mr. Severn's despatch No.189
of the 11th June, 1919, I have the honour to inform Your
Lordship that during the absence on leave of Mr. H. E. Goldsmith
Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department, it was
necessary to call upon Mr. H. T. Jackman to perform the duties of the office in charge of the maintenance of roads in addition
to his own. It is reported to me that this has entailed on the
part of Mr. Jackman considerable overtime amounting in all to
about 330 hours and I submit, therefore, for your approval that
he be granted a bonus of £120 for the extra work performed by
him.
I have the honour to be,
My Lord,
Your Lordship's most obedient,
humble servant,
7.2. Stutts
Governor,&c.
